TheActor’s ArmouryReturn to the Armoury

Privacy notice

Your process belongs to you.

The Actor’s Armoury is designed as a private, local-first workspace. This notice explains what stays on your device, what leaves it, and the choices you control.

Working private-test draftCompany contact details are current. Production services and retention details remain subject to review before the app’s public launch.

1. Who is responsible

This website is operated by ALCHEMIST'S TROVE LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 09470734 (“we”, “us” or “our”). We are the controller where we decide how personal information is handled. The app is currently in private testing; its existing developer accounts are being prepared for company publication.

2. Information kept on your device

The app can store the information you choose to enter, including:

  • check-ins, affirmations, goals, progress and creative ideas;
  • vision-board words and images;
  • audition checklists, notes and script files;
  • professional contacts you enter manually;
  • your reading, viewing and flashcard history;
  • accent-practice audio files and app preferences.

This information is stored inside the app on your phone. We do not currently operate an account database that receives this content, and the app does not access your phone’s system Contacts list.

3. Backups you control

You can create a password-protected Armoury backup file containing selected structured records such as contacts, goals and progress. The file is encrypted on your device before you choose where to save or share it. We do not receive the backup or its password, cannot open it for you and cannot reset a forgotten password.

Audition scripts, vision-board image files and audio files are excluded from Armoury backup exports. However, Apple or Google may include app data in the phone’s own device backup according to your device and cloud settings. Those backups are provided by Apple or Google under their own privacy terms.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

When subscriptions are enabled, Apple or Google processes the payment. RevenueCat, our subscription-management processor, receives an anonymous app-specific subscriber identifier, purchase or subscription history, store receipt or purchase token, entitlement status, and ordinary technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, locale, currency and recent app-use time. We use this information to validate purchases, prevent fraud, provide and restore Pro access, answer subscription support questions, and understand subscription performance.

We do not give RevenueCat your goals, notes, scripts, contacts, images, recordings or other creative work. The app currently creates an anonymous RevenueCat identifier rather than sending your name, email address, advertising identifier or an account ID. We do not use this information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. Other information received over the internet

The app downloads reviewed film, play and industry-reference material from our content repository. These requests may reveal ordinary technical information such as an IP address, device request details and request time to the hosting provider. The app currently contains no advertising, behavioural analytics or third-party tracking SDK.

This website does not intentionally set analytics or marketing cookies. Its hosting provider may process essential security and request logs to deliver and protect the site.

6. Professional contacts and other people

If you record information about an agent, casting professional or another person, keep it relevant, accurate and professional. Do not add sensitive, private or unlawfully obtained information. This information remains on your device unless you choose to include it in an encrypted backup and store that file elsewhere.

7. Why information is handled

On-device information is handled to provide the features you ask the app to perform. Subscription information is handled to perform the purchase contract, restore access, prevent fraud and maintain accurate business records. Essential website request information is handled to deliver, secure and maintain the service. Where UK law requires a legal basis, this is normally performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with law, or consent where the law requires it.

8. Retention and deletion

You control most app content through the app’s editing and deletion tools. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data, subject to any device or cloud backup retained by Apple or Google. Copies of exported backup files remain wherever you chose to save them until you delete them there.

Essential website security logs are retained by the hosting provider for its operational and security periods. We will update this notice with specific periods if we begin receiving or controlling those logs directly.

Apple, Google and RevenueCat retain purchase records according to their legal, financial, fraud-prevention and service requirements. Before public launch we will record the exact RevenueCat retention configuration and provide the working privacy/support route through which a person can ask us to delete or correct subscriber information we control, subject to records we must retain by law.

9. Sharing and international processing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share user-created app records with advertisers, casting platforms or behavioural analytics providers. Apple or Google processes store transactions; RevenueCat processes the limited subscription information described above; and infrastructure providers process essential website and content-delivery data. Some processing may take place outside the UK. Before public launch we will complete and retain the applicable processor terms, data-processing agreement and international-transfer assessment.

10. Security and your responsibilities

We use local app storage, file validation and encrypted manual backups to reduce risk. No storage system is completely secure. Keep your phone locked and updated, choose a strong unique backup password, retain it safely, and store exported files only in locations you trust. Only add confidential material when your agreement permits storage on that device and its device-backup services.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal information and to complain to a regulator. Because most content never reaches us, the quickest way to exercise control is usually through the app or your device. You may contact us about information we actually control. UK users can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

12. Children

The private test is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We will complete a separate age-appropriate privacy and safeguarding review before intentionally offering the service to children.

13. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when the product changes, particularly before adding accounts, automatic cloud backup, analytics or new service providers. Material changes will be explained in the app or on this page.
