Terms of use
The room around your work.
These terms explain the current private-test relationship between you and the legal publisher named on The Actor’s Armoury store listing.
1. About the service
The Actor’s Armoury is a private practice, preparation and career-organisation tool for actors. It is not a casting service, agency, employment service, social network, medical service or substitute for professional acting, vocal, movement, legal or financial advice. It does not promise auditions, representation or employment.
This website is operated by ALCHEMIST'S TROVE LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 09470734. The app remains in private testing while its developer accounts are prepared for company publication. Contact: support@theactorsarmoury.app. Registered office: Maytree Cottage, Upper Icknield Way, Princes Risborough, United Kingdom, HP27 0LX.
2. Private testing
The current app is a private test. Features may change, be incomplete or occasionally be unavailable. Please report problems and keep your own encrypted backup of important structured records. Do not rely on a test version as the only copy of irreplaceable information.
3. Using the app responsibly
You agree to:
- use the app lawfully and for your own legitimate professional or creative purposes;
- keep your device and backup passwords secure;
- enter only information you are entitled to possess and store;
- respect confidentiality, copyright, data-protection and contractual obligations;
- avoid attempting to disrupt, reverse engineer or misuse the service except where law expressly permits it.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the notes, goals, images, recordings and other material you add. You give us no licence to use locally stored content because we do not receive it. When you choose to export, share or store a backup through another service, your relationship with that service is governed by its terms.
You are responsible for ensuring that you may lawfully store audition scripts, recordings, images, contact details and confidential information on your device and in its operating-system backup. Remove material when a production agreement, NDA or other obligation requires it.
Adding or storing a script does not grant permission to publish, distribute or publicly perform that work. Any future sharing of a curated writer submission will be enabled only under that writer’s recorded sharing permission and required attribution.
5. Our content and intellectual property
The app, brand, original written exercises, design, software and curated presentation belong to the legal publisher or its licensors. You may use them within the app for personal professional development. You may not reproduce, sell, scrape, republish or commercially exploit them without permission, except where law allows.
Film, play, practitioner and industry names may belong to their respective owners. Reference to them is informational and does not imply affiliation, approval or endorsement.
6. Health and physical practice
Adapt vocal, breath and movement activities to your circumstances. Stop if you experience pain, strain, dizziness or breathlessness and seek suitable professional advice where needed. You remain responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you.
7. Backups and device changes
The app offers a password-protected manual export for selected structured records. You are responsible for remembering the password and keeping the file safe; we cannot retrieve either. Restore is designed to add missing records without overwriting existing ones, but no backup method is infallible. Apple or Google device backup may transfer additional app data under their own rules and settings.
8. Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve, replace or withdraw test features. We will take reasonable care not to misrepresent available features or intentionally damage locally stored work. Hosted reference content may be unavailable temporarily; bundled material may be used instead.
9. Charges
Pro is intended to be offered at £5.99 monthly or £49.99 annually in the UK, with no introductory trial at launch. Your app store will show and confirm the actual local price, currency, billing period and any applicable tax before purchase; that store display is authoritative. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the relevant store before renewal. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. The app provides purchase restoration and a route to store subscription management. Refunds are handled under applicable law and the relevant store rules.
10. Responsibility when things go wrong
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights and liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to those rights, the private test is provided for personal professional organisation and we are not responsible for casting decisions, lost opportunities, professional outcomes or losses caused by relying on editorial reference material as a guarantee.
11. Ending use
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Export any structured records you wish to retain first. We may end or limit private-test access where reasonably necessary for security, misuse, legal compliance or closure of the test.
12. Law and disputes
These terms do not take away any mandatory protections of the country where you live. The final governing-law and court wording will be completed once the publisher’s formal place of establishment is confirmed. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be explained before they apply. Continuing to use a later public version after reasonable notice will mean accepting the updated terms where law permits.
